Why does your mouth fill with spit when you're nauceous/about to throw up?!
Question: This morning I started feeling queasy. Whenever I feel like I'm going to upchuck, it's like my mouth fills with a lot of extra spit. Why does it do that? I've asked other people and they've said the same thing happens to them. Thanks and sorry for being kind of gross. I teach second grade and I'm sure the question will come up someday.

I am sure that the reason why your mouth waters before you vomit is that the saliva can protect your teeth from the stomach acid that comes up when you vomit.
I don't know but tell me when you find out I don't know why.
