I keep coughing and am finding it hard to breathe!?!
Question: I went to the doctors today and she gave me two enhalers and 6 steroids to take a day but although my breathing is a bit better, i can't stop coughing (and i mean reli chocking!) has anyone else experienced this? Thank-you

Take the medicine prescribed to you at regular intervals. For relief in breathing rhythm, inhale slowly through the nose, hold for seven, and exhale through the mouth.

Did she take a chest x-ray? If not you should go to the emergency room. You either have bronchitis or whooping cough. I would go ASAP.
the last time i had those symptoms i was suspected of being asmatic...... it turned out i had pneumonia.

I might have! Do you find that it is a chesty cough? I have just started to recover from that. When I started to cough I found myself gasping for breath and I found my inhalers didn't do much good. Many times I was slightly sick from the combination of gasping for breath and coughing too much. I think I was having a panic attack. To help whenever I found myself in that position I slowly tried to calm myself by slowly breathing out-as if I was trying to gently blow a candle so it flickered but didn't go out completely. I found this made me relax more and concentrate on how I was breathing. Eventually I would stop coughing and relax (this mostly happened in the middle of the night).
