Why does drinking water make me MORE thirsty?!

Question: I could be totally fine, not thirsty at all, then I'll take a sip of water and BAM!! I'm extremely thirsty. That's why I'm dehydrated because when I drink water it just makes me even more thirsty and it goes through me so fast!! So I just don't drink it. So why does that happen?

Elizabeth, drinking the water makes you more thirsty because you are dehydrated and so when you take a drink of water your body automatically sends a signal to the brain that it needs more, if you would drink about 3 20oz bottles a day you will find that you will not be so thirsty, the water that you drink does several things for your body.
1. It keeps the your kidneys, liver, urinary track and bowels clean
2. it raises the blood volume so your heart does not have to work so hard to pump the blood
3. It helps eliminate toxins and waste from the blood
4. It also helps you burn fat.
These are just a few of the reasons to drink water, we are 98% water when we are born, and as we grow older we tend to lose this, the reason we lose so much is because we do not drink enough.
Water is the one most important eliment that our body needs.
I hope this helps, if you want you may contact me.

Liquids push liquids!!!!!!!

well it might be your not use to water or the water is mixing up the stuff in your belly

It sounds like you are dehydrated to begin with.

That is a symptom of diabetes. I would suggest getting your blood sugar checked.
