What is the shelf life of antibiotics?!


Question: I know what the drug companies say but has any one taken antibiotics past the expiration date? Were they effective? I am specifically talking about amoxicillin.

there are eap dates for a reason. you caould still take but it wont be as effective. call the pharmacy they will tell you the truth, no ?'s asked!!
Why are you taking the drug? Do you really need it? Probably not. Amox works for a few BACTERIAL illnesses. Are you sure your ailment is bacterial in nature? Chances are its not and you shouldn't have expired amoxicillin in your possession to begin with.
