When i jog my mouth gets really dry.....why is that???!

Question: Two reasons:
First, you're probably breathing through your mouth which dries out the membranes by evaporation.
Second: When you excersise, you stimulate the sympathetic nervous system, which governs the "flight of flight" response. Since your body thinks you're in 'flight' mode, it suppresses the activity of your digestive system, including the secretion of saliva in order to redirect blood to your working muscles.

you're dehydrated. drink water before you run

because your using alot of energy and sweating, your not drinking enough water, drink more...

uh probably cause you get tired and dehydrated and you need water. Just bring a water bottle and drink a lot but not too much or you'll get side cramps.

You're dehydrating... Keep a water bottle with you when you jog.

you are thirsty. amazing, huh. carry a water bottle.

also you are probably breathing through your mouth so all the moisture evaporates

your all dryed up drink up before you run

dehydrated ...drink a LITTLE while u run......little otherwise u get badass cramps

that is the stupidest question i have read on yahoo answers in a long time....seriously...do you have a brain? and/or any kinda logic

keep the thumbs down coming...someone had to say it

You are breathing through your mouth, not your nose, and you are exhaling moisture. Carry a bottle of water, and take sips from it as you jog ... you'll stay better hydrated generally, and your mouth won't feel as dry, either.

because u had not drunk anything

Dehydration. You are loosing more fluid than you are taking in.

uh, because you're thirsty?

Your tired...!!!!!! Drink more water!!

dehydration most likely

You get dehydrated, plus air comes in and out of your mouth with dust (which basically irritates and also gives your mouth that dry feeling), so if you feel like that, drink water--not too much as it will make you feel bad and might even induce you to throw up-- to feel better

Because as you exercise you use up your bodies supply of essential water, salt etc. You need to take a bottle of water with you but really you should drink lots of water before you go out jogging but not straight before you go. Yo need to make sure your body is hydrated constantly.

You naturaly breath through your mouth rather than through your nose, because you get the most oxygen that way when you run. Drinking alot of water is not gonna help your mouth not to dry up.

It happens to me all the time even if I drink water about 30 mins before. Bring a water bottle with you when you work out. dont drink too much during and before you run coz you'll cramp up.

You're probably breathing through your mouth and drying it out.

Because u are thirsty. try drinking a bottle of water 20 min before you jog... see if that works.

thats a sign of dehydration...you need water!

Because you sweat and you let water out of your body, therefore your mouth gets dry.

In simpler terms: You're becoming dehydrated

Just drink some Gatorade and water and you'll be fine.
