Is this too much Iron for me?!

Question: I'm a 25 year old female, 5'6 and 140 pounds (dont know if age/size matters or not) and I've been feeling like I'm going to pass out. Nearly every minute I get a rush and am pretty sure I'm going to black out, even when I'm walking, standing, driving... So I've talked to a few people about it and 3 people have told me to take iron supplements. So I started last night, however the Iron pills that I got are 65mg!!! That seems like a lot. Is this going to be too much? I am a very picky eater and dont eat much meat at all, especially red meat or lunch meats... So I stick to veggies, cheese and breads. Any info on a better way of getting the right amount of iron is appreciated.

Was 65mg the lowest dosage or the only option available at the drugstore? It is probably fine, but just start out taking 1 per day and talk to your doctor as soon as possible just to make sure.

You could also try taking vitamin B instead...it helps your body absorb the iron that it does receive. There is iron in veggies, but not a lot so your body might need some help absorbing it.

I get the same way sometimes, so I take vitamin B and every once in a while have a nice steak. Other than that I don't eat that much red meat.

also try B12 it is energy suplaments to like 1 microgram
