Most common route to be a RN is the 2yr associate degree (ADN), but just letting you know, big cities or any place that offers high salaries are highly competitive and require additional 1-2yrs of training that stretches that ADN degree to 3yrs. Another way, which you allude to is the 4yr BSN degree.
