Coughing, breathing temperature problem!?!

Question: I have had a really bad cough for 3 days now, and a breathing problem. I went to the doctors on Friday and she said there is a possibility i have athsma and that i have a viral infection and a temperature. She then asked if i spat out green stuff when i coughed...which i dont but am cougghing up lots of saliva (as u cna imagine)! She gave me two inhalers and 6 tablets to take a day, and although the inhalers help a little bit i still have a bad cough which keeps me up all night, and it sounds like fluid is in my lunch when i take a deep breath (if i can take a deep breath)! im going to the doctors HOPEFULLY tomorrow - any suggestions of what it can be and how i can treat it. i bought cough medicine and that has hardly done anything!
Thank-you!

well it soudns liek bronchidus u do normally have geeen stuff you cough out but i didnt asd i have it if you have cheas pain as you cough or inhale its bronchidus and even if you are not sure get the anti biotics that will get rid or whooping cough and bronchdus and if left untreated it turnes to nemonia and becomes deadly good luck

You could have pneumonia....especially if you feel that you have fluid in your lungs.

you may have a case of pneumonia, some times respiratory infections can lead to this. see the doctor as soon as you can.

oh...im sorry but i dont really know what it is buti hope you feel better!:)

Respiratory infection due to a bacteria or a virus.
Your doctor should be able to differentiate between those two. Bacterial infections need antibiotics. Viral infections subside in a week's time.
Pneumonia is a possibility, but you will be more sick than cough and a little fever if you had pneumonia.
Try keeping warm and steam inhalation till you consult your doctor

i have the same problem and what i did i went out to walgreens and got me an vicks cool mist Humdifier, it relieves cold and flue symptoms and it cleans the air, removes dust, pollen, odors, smoke, and more, since i got that i dont have problems anymore, after taking meds i made up my own mind the meds mad me sleepy or feel sick, so this was my answer and i feel good now try it the cost was 40 dollars and its worth it merry christmas and good luck

yeh i think that you might have pnemonia too, the doctor will probably give u a chest x-ray and see from that if you have the condition. I hope you feel better. Have a really good xmas and a happy new year! xxx
