I don't know whether it is "aging slower" because of racial characteristics, or a combination of factors that makes it seem that Asians retain their youth longer.
It seems to me that the Asian diet contributes a lot to this - not a lot of meat, not much dairy (if any), a lot of vegetables, not much pre-prepared foods with additives & preservatives etc. etc. - also they don't seem to over-eat as much as westerners do.
Also in my experience Chinese medicine (the traditional herbal remedies & acupuncture) are much more effective than western medicine, and there is much emphasis on prevention rather than fixing things once they are broken. I have been using this stuff for years now and have managed to stay in pretty good shape so far.
Westerners tend to be sedentary - they watch a lot of TV, they sit & play computer games, they sit at their jobs all day, (of course there are exceptions). There is the old saying - "if you don't use it you lose it" - I believe that this goes for your body parts - muscles, joints etc. Asians do Tai Chi, they do martial arts and I think that on the average they stay in better shape.
Also from my observation, I think that Westerners drink a lot more alcohol than Asians - and this can accelerate aging. Westerners bask in the sun more than Asians, this ages the skin and promotes cancer.
I think we Western peoples are our own worst enemies when it comes to how we abuse our bodies...
I dun find that a fact though! humans r made of wd they eat n hw they live..
hey dude,
those people aren't that interesting, give it a break. Someone is going to accuse you of being prejudice.
Maybe you didn't hear we are all created equally........
