What's it like being an optometrist?!

Question: I think it's a GREAT job. You really help people, and you don't have to worry about hurting anyone! The money is excellent, and you really help people. You can save their eyesight in advance by spotting diseases that have no symptoms. Like glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts; just to name a few. You can help people choose the right kind of contacts. There are so many out there today! And you can tell someone if they are a good candidate for Lasik or not. But mainly you can tell someone as young as two-years old, what their prescription is to see well! If you're a woman, you don't have to be strong. So I say, "Go for it, and Good Luck!! :)
