yes I'm afraid it does cannabis use cause 90 % of mental illness however this is only if the person is predisposed to this. Cannabis is better than evil drink. people smoking this dont cause fights or stab other people the way binge drinkers do. Cannabis can help certain illnesses such as me or arthitis so it has it good and bad points. Smoking Cannabis on a daliy basis is not advisable because of the links to mental health problems

yes it does. long term use decreases your brains ability to process. you become react slower physically and mentally over time. it does kill brain cells. and does much more harm than alcohol in lesser time. memory loss is also caused by smoking.

Hi! if you skip down past the statistic charts there is a heading called "effects on the brain" should be helpful. I think it really affects memory and necessary functions causing hallucinations and delusions, etc, with long time use.

Do you know anyone who has been a heavy user for many years? I do; and I can tell you that these "stoners" are permanently disabled. Everything from their speech to their math (making change) and social skills are pathetic. These were normal people in high school, but no longer. Some people are affected worse than others, but it always catches up with you sooner or later.

Even a short course of using cannabis can affect the brain and may bring about hallucination and some other mental disordrs.
