That is awhile. Pinch your nose and lean forward. If you tilt your head back the blood will run into your stomach and make your stomach upset. Put a icepack on it. If that doesn't help you may need to go to the hospital to get it cauterized!

take like 3 squares of toilet paper and put them into liek little stick an dgently shove them up one ofur nose holes.....do the sae for the other one......

It is nothing out of the norm. . Usually nose bleeds come from temperature change, high blood pressure too tilt head back stuff nose with cotton.

Melissa is correct with the ice pack but what you should do 1st is lay down. Pinch the bridge of your nose (just below your eyes) tightly. It will stop quite quickly.

Don't shove anything up your nose.

DO NOT put anything inside your nose. just press it firmly, breathe in your mouth. for 2 minutes of pressing it should stop. lean forward and let the blood drip in front of you. DO NOT LEAN BACKWARS. bec it will make your blood drip inside of you. it could either go into your lungs and cause more problems or in your stomach.
nose bleeds are very common because the blood supply in our nose is very sensitive. blood vessels could easily be ruptured in slight trauma. so its better to not pick on your nose and to stay in cooler places

The hospital emergency room (my first one) had me spray a sinus nose spray into my nostril first thing then hold it shut for a long long time. The doctor said the nose spray has a decongestant in it that helps stop the bleeding and then holding the nostril shut will let the blood build up & clot in there. For aftercare, so I don't have them any more, I take MSM for to help the mucas membranes in my sinuses. I don't know if that helps, but I get it at the health food store and I think it works for me.

Besides high blood pressure and sinus problems it could also be due to weak blood vessels that can be strengthened with citrus bioflavonoids.

Cauterization should only be a very last resort and this involves heat sealing blood vessels by heat fusion with a local anaesthetic
