Even while you are asleep, you are always forming urine. If you are properly hydrated, it is not unusual to have to go every 3 hours or so.
Sounds to me as if you have an enlarged prostate. You should have your doctor check this out. This condition can be alleviate (otherwise as you get older it will get worse) and this can also be a symptom for a condition that needs attention.
