It could be mold, fungi, or other allergens in your pillowcases and linens that are irritating your allergies and making you have cold-like symptoms until you get away from your bed. I saw this news report that examined the stuff that's in the average person's pillow and there were all sorts of nasty stuff, like mold, dust mites, microscopic organisms, and fungus. I have allergies and asthma and was waking up with a sore throat and stuffy nose for months until I got a new pillow, and now I'm less sick in the mornings. Even if you're not asthmatic, perhaps you could try treating yourself to a new set of sheets, or at least a new pillow and pillowcase. It might help.

allergies

There is a virus that can live inside your stomach. I had one for years, I felt sick most nights and most mornings, couldn't eat breakfast... and no doctor helped me - but one doctor gave me 6 small pills to eat. 3 days later I was not sick again.

It could be your bed covers or something around your bed that's making you sick.

its your body telling you to sleep, change your diet or dont drink as much alcohol,or all of the above.

Possibly circadian rhythm? Among other things, fever tends to spike at night.

before bed i get flu, and waking up i get flu too..probably because the temperature..
