What are some symptoms of being cut in half?!

Question: Assuming you're cut axially, not sagitally (cut across, not top to bottom) you're probably not too worried about the bottom half. Your top half will start to go into hypovolemic shock, and your body will try to compensate at first. Loss of blood volume will cause your body's blood vessels to constrict, and your blood pressure and pulse to increase. This is an attempt to keep your brain perfused with oxygenated blood. Signs of shock include these changes in vitals, as well as diaphoresis (sweating), an increased respiration rate, and cyanotic or pale skin. Once the body loses enough blood, however, it goes into decompensatory shock, and blood pressure plummets. Pulse rate becomes rapid and thready, and at this point you will lose consciousness, if you haven't already from the pain. Shortly after that comes death.
