On quitting smoking?!
Question: how can i effectively quity smoking? i have tried this several times but was only successful for a month or two. how can i successfully quit smoking?
BTW, the idea of smoking kills and all don't work on me. any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

I re-trained my mind to believe that I never smoked. I was a 20 year pack a day or more smoker of camel non-filter.
It's all in the mind.
try eating sunflower seeds still in the shells,my bro-in-law did it and worked for him.
There is a prescription drug called "welbutrin", Trade name "Zyban" It works wonders on some people..ask your Doctor about it.
I sympathize greatly with you,I just happen to quit with welbutrin it was not fast but after 3 months it worked! Good Luck and hope you find something that works for you!
It's really just mentally sticking to your goal. I use to smoke about a pack a day when I was around 20 - 24, now I just smoke about a cig a day, if that. Sometimes ill go for 5 days without one. It doesn't bother me at all. To op it off i usually dont even finish the whole thing.
But im not trying to quit, Just stick with it mentally, be strong. Try doing something else when you get the urge to smoke. maybe laugh, do jumping jacks.. LOL. anything positive!!!
Have faith! I know someone who had the some problem, but every time he would feel the urge to smoke, he would call up his friend and get the support to fight the urge! It might sound weird, but my friend is now smoke-free! You need to get someone in your life that will help lift you up! With a helping friend, your faith to press on, and the love that God shares, you'll be indestructible! Yes, it'll still be hard, and yes, you'll want to some, but in Philippians 4:13 it says," I can do ALL things through Christ, Who strengthens me"! You might wanna look it up! I pray that God will give you the strength you need to carry on! Even though I don't know you, I believe in you, and so does God! I'll keep you in my prayers!
