What you're describing is not good -- not something that would kill you, but not normal. You should see a doctor. Could be something as simple as a flu bug or a sinus problem with drainage (that usually makes people feel like they want to throw up). But the simple rule of thumb is this: Any time you have a recurring nose bleed, see your doctor.

There is a vomiting flu going around on the East Coast. It comes on suddenly and includes a stuffy nose and congestion and light fever. It lasts about a week.

Nose bleed can be caused by dry winter air and you have probably taken aspirin or Tylenol for your flu. Both keep blood from clotting, thus the persistent nose bleed. I wouldn't worry about it. Just take care of yourself, eat lightly like soup with crackers when you feel up to it. do not over eat.

Hope this has helped.
