I ate too much candy yesterday, what can I do for my tummy?!


Question: My stomach hurts and I feel really nauseous because I ate way too many gummy life savers yesterday. I wasn't feeling good, my bronchitis was acting up really badly, so I sat on the couch watching tv and eating my Christmas candy all day. The only regular food I ate was a grilled cheese and a pack of saltine crackers. I know I should have eaten regular food, especially because I wasn't feeling good, but I didn't. Can I do anything to help my tummy? I've eaten oatmeal for breakfast today, but the thought of food disgusts me at the moment.

Poor baby!! Your body will digest and 'get rid of' everything in a day or so. Until then, you're probably dealing with a sugar imbalance and the psychological trauma of eating so much crap!

Try to eat some protein today, or at least high fiber carbs. That will help balance out your blood sugar. Think of the nausea as your punishment ... maybe it will help you avoid gummy bears in the future!

take a large soapsuds enema, then follow it with a clear water rinse with 1 tbs of salt in the water. This will clean you out and you will feel SO much better.

try ginger tea. it will settle your stomach. just place some fresh ginger slices in a pot of boiling water for ten minutes. add a little sweetener, or try adding some fresh lemon jiuce.

if you can't get over the taste, yarrow and peppermint tea is also great.

these herbs work wonders on upset bellies, i hope you feel better!
