What is the safest and most effective way to remove ear wax?!

Question: I am known to have quite a buildup of ear wax in a relatively short time so I have to clean them more frequently than most I assume. Anyway, I've heard q-tips are NOT to be used but the bad things is that it's the only way I've known to clean them *at least in my family*. What ways are ''safer then if one can't use q-tips???

lay on one side and put hydrogen peroxide in your ear and let it sit, but keep a washcloth by you.

then put water in your ear and then lay on the oppisite side and do it to that ear, and let it drain by laying on the oppisite side. then, the wax will be soft enough you can use a q-tip.

Take a warm bath and submerge your ears, relax for 10 minutes and your done. Towel dry when you get out.

A bit of cerumen (earwax) in the ears is healthy and prevents objects from lodging in the ear.

One way to remove ear wax is taking a shower and using a lot of shampoo. When you get out, immediately spread some vaseline in your ears.

See your doctor.

If you have a friend or family member whose willing to help, try ear candling. You can find them (and the instructions, as it's fairly dangerous if not done right) at health food stores. If you want to go safest, go to a center that performs ear candling for your first few sessions, then try it at home once you know it works and you like it.

It involved sticking a rolled, hollow piece of wax in the ear with a dish or foil at the base to stop the ash from dropping on your head and lighting it. The heat will form a kind of vaccuum on the ear and draw the wax into the hollow of the base of the candle that's in your ear.

Hope that helps.
