Drink Water

i hold my breath for 10 seconds :)

i just had them yesterday...hurts like hell. i can usually get rid of them by holding my breath and swallowing 3 times. other times, i have to just breath slowly, in and out. a hiccup is just a spasm in your chest. you need to just calm it down.

I sit and relax my entire body. I don't let a muscle budge. Then I breathe in long, slow breaths. After a few moments, they stop!

Hold my breath for as long as I can. Usually, I try and turn my head upside down. Then I try drinking ten little sips of water.

I hold my breath as long as I can or take a long drink of water.

drink lotsa water

Eating a spoonful of sugar does it for me.

And not just swallowing the sugar. Move it around in your mouth, crunch it with your teeth. I do not know why, but it works. The hiccups stop right then!

1) Drink a glass of water from the other side of the glass. (basically, you have to bend over, put your chin in the glass and drink from the opposite end). It sounds weird, but it causes you to slow your breathing, and seems to work.
2) Drink a glass of water through a paper towel.

OK. This is an old treatment that really works.

Take a #2 pencil and hold it between your teeth, as you take about 10-15 sips of water.

This is 100% sure cure, and very few people know this secret.

Ok , this only sounds complicated!

fill a glass with water and place a spoon in it.
then with the end of the spoon leaning on the bridge on your nose, concentrate on the spoon and drink the whole glass of water.

Tada! Hiccups are gone. It works for me!

I have someone ask me what color an elephant is.
