*rolls eyes* people, she did mention her hight too...

If you just said weight, i'd say you're too tiny. BUT since you've mentioned your hight, your only 5foot, you're not that underweight.

On the other hand, if your athletic, you should weigh a LITTLE bit more...you'll get sick less and feel better if you were maybe 5-10lb heavier....

I'm 13 too, but i'm also 7in taller than you....so i weigh aLOT more than you do. But i'm on a sports team, and alot of the girls your hight are a little bigger and perfectly healthy...not much, maybe 90lbs at 5ft

EDIT: sammie, did you consiter her hight?

Oh, i forgot to add....1800-2200 calories to stay healthy....maybe more

80 POUNDS!?!
Not healthy at all!
I'm 14 and weigh 150 pounds!
Eat at least 1200 calories a day, but if your going to excersize that much, I would boost it a bit more.

:] Good Luck

I think you should probalby get into a therapist or doctor who deals with an eating disorder. You probably could add a few pounds, personal thought.... you should have at least 1200 to 1600 calories a day I believe, maybe some more since you go exercise in sports 2-3 times a week. But I think you should talk to a doctor even if is a general doctor, if it needs to go to a specialist who deals with eating problems, then I would do that.....

you are waayy underweight. but im very proud that you are getting your life back on track and that you are fighting anorexia. You need to eat a whole lot more calories, how many, im not sure. but good luck hun!

well im 13 too and 5'5" and 110. i think you should gain about 10 lbs. eat around 1800 calories daily and more if you're going to exercise.

Hey Girlio! I'm 13 too. Except I'm 5'9 and weigh 140 pounds so I'm heavier.

But since my dad is a Physician (ER) I think I can help. Yes you're in the low percentile of weight for your height. Check out this website and you can calculate exactly where you are! http://www.kidshealth.org/teen/nutrition...
Just keep scrolling!

I'd recomend about 2100 calories in a day, but eat healthy. Don't load up on the snack foods or your body will go out of wack. And you don't want your body out of wack......

I also recomend going to your doctor. Ask your mom to leave the room, and talk to him/her alone about it. Don't be embarrased! Your doc has heard it all before.

You can also email me if you have any more q's. Just click away on my profile!

According to the website below, you're within a healthy weight range for your age. You might want to go to that website and put in your birthday and exact weight and measurements.

It's not as important to count calories as it is to make sure that you're eating the right kind of food. Keep junk food to a minimum and eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Go here to see what kinds of food you should be eating:

Hey, you really need to gain some more weight!! I'm very glad that you are going to turn your life around because you seem like an intelligent young woman and you deserve to have a great shot at life!! Don't listen to what anyone tells you about being fat, because they may just be jealous or have body issues with themselves. Anyways, judging by your height and weight, a professional would tell you that you need about 1800 calories. I got this information from an awesome site called mypyramid.gov. There's a new food pyramid which includes daily excercise as part of a way to a healthy lifestyle. Please go to this link to find out more about calorie intake-- http://www.mypyramid.gov/mypyramid/index...
I know that you may be busy, but if you go to that link, you can see what kinds of foods you should eat to get to 1800 calories. Please go to that site!! It is a GREAT site that will REALLY help you out, and I'm NOT just saying that to get you to go there: Trust me, it really helps!! I'm also 13 and I'm a little overweight- I'm 61 inches and I weigh 115+ pounds and I don't get much physical activity into my daily schedule. Please go to that site. Please, you'll never regret it. It's a great website. Okay, good luck!! Have a happy new year!!

Hey, I'm her size but I weigh 5 pounds more! I'm 13 as well.

Your ideal weight would be 100 lbs.

To gain weight you could do the opposite of the Atkins diet.

Instead of combining animal proteins such as dairy products, eggs, meat. poultry and fish with non-starchy carbohydrates you could combine animal proteins with starchy carbohydrates such as bread, cereals, muesli, pasta and potatoes that are excluded by the Atkins diet. Peanuts and cashews are also very starchy but almonds are not.
