Swollen feet and ankles?!

Question: For the last 2 days I have had really swollen feet. Does anyone know what causes this? I haven't eaten a lot of salt, and I don't usually have high blood pressure. Is there anything I can do or take to make the swelling go down?

How about high sodium foods? Not only the salt shaker has salt but so does all processed food, and fast food. Change your diet to salads and veggies and protein, and if u need to drop some lbs and see if it help. And drink drink water, it can wash out the storedup sodium. And get the soda out of your diet to, the sodium in it is high to. Your body is telling u something so help yourself. We all have have a need to get healthier, so bring in the new yr with changing your diet and healing your body. Take care, hope u feel better soon.

Ice makes most swelling go down but be careful not to get it too cold or leave it on too long.

Try keeping your feet above your heart. Lay down on the bed backwards, and put your feet up on the wall.

Along with that and the ice, if it doesn't get better, I recommend seeing your doctor. Good luck! :)

This is something that may be serious and should get it checked out by a doctor. There are pills that help you get rid of the excess water.

Watch what you are eating. Some meats are filled with salt. If you can cut back on salt all the better. You will find it easy after a while if you spice your food and let the salt shaker alone.

There are several salt replacements that work alright but its best to get off it. It took me a while but now I use very little
