You can get any height you want, although generally the higher the heel, the more the shoe is associated with evening or trashy glam wear.
You really need to ask around with older girls, in their 30's, etc. to inquire of their experiences - I am certain you will find that many of them regret wearing high heels too often in their youth. It's very bad for your posture and eventually leads to foot, leg and back pain. Thus, use lower heels for daily wear, and save the tall stuff for special occasions.
Finally, please be careful with high tapered heels. It's difficult to walk, and if you fall, you can get seriously injured - even hitting the floor from a standing position can cause permanent damage to your spine, depending on the angle, etc.
yeah you can get pretty tall with 4 inch heels!
I've seen heels that are as long as 4 inches, so you could probably get up to 5'9". Whether or not you could walk in them in another story.
Also, wear longer jeans to cover those monstrous heels, and you'll look fabulous!

So yes, you can get pretty dang tall.
it depends on the height of the shoe/heel. you can find some shoes as tall as 8" so it really just depends on what shoes you buy.
