It happens to me all the time. Its brainrush.
It happens when you sit down for long periods then suddenly stand up.
I get it... I stand up, go dizzy then I fall down.

Just take your time when standing up after sitting for long periods.

I don't know in your particular case why it happens, but there's something called "orthostatic hypotension" which basically means that when you get up from a lying down position QUICKLY, your blood pressure drops rapidly, so you get dizzy.

Best thing to do to prevent you from getting injured is to rise slowly. Let your doctor know, but get up from a chair or bed slowly; so your body equilibrates.

Could be other things, but either way, tell your doc.

A lot of times, people get dizzy because they are dehydrated. So first I would try drinking water if you haven't in a while. If that doesn't help, and this dizziness occurs frequently then you should see a doctor. I wouldn't worry too much but if it happens a lot don't wait to see the doctor. Not to scare you, but it could be something like a brain clot, which needs immediately looked at.

Don't know -
You might get dizzy because you stand up too fast and you are tired, a touch of flu, or have a poor diet or something else that is fairly harmless/temporary.

You may also have a medical condition such as Diabetes or Meniere's Disease that is causing it.

I would schedule an appointment with a doctor to talk about it because if you're actually falling down from the dizziness then it should be checked out.

just standing up to fast with poor blood flow, can cause you to get dizzy.. one way to stop it is by wiggling your toes, feet, fingers, and hands before you stand up... it helps keep the blood flowing so when you stand it doesn't all rush from your head.. if it keeps up than you should definitely go tho the Dr. it could be something more serious

it's a head rush. when you're lying down or sitting down, take your time standing up. that used to happen to me and i hated it. make sure you're taking your vitamins, too, and drinking enough water
