Well, alcohol is a Stimulant. So it isn't the best way to get to sleep. You will get less REM sleep, which means you will be tired more often and require more sleep than usual.

About the same, granted I don't get bombed. :-)

The booze wakes you up at all hours. The medicine gives you nightmares. Welcome Home!

i recently said something to my mom about her having a drink every night she comes home from work. she insisted it was menopause and she needed to drink to sleep. she sleeps maybe 8hours a day....

Definitely LESS....becuz you immediately go to sleep when head hits pillow. If you don't drink, then you toss and turn pondering if you are indeed an alcoholic. What torture! Nobody needs That!!! CHEERS AND GOOD NIGHT!!!

if u need alcohol 4 any sort of normall day to day activities then i think u av a problem with it and aa meetings cud be a gud idea. u wud sleep less thru the nite as alcohol disturbs sleep putting u into a semi consiouse state therefore making you av the need for more sleep in the day as youve not slept in a deep un disturbed one thru the nite.
