Why when you feel jealous your stomach feels like it is clenching?!

Question: just curious

Answers: just curious

I had never thought about it like that, but you raise an interesting question.

My semi-educated guess is that it has something to do with adrenalin and the fight-or-flight instinct that kicks in when a potentially harmful situation takes place. The body (sympathetic nervous system) automatically responds...parts of the body involved in a stress reaction take over (like increased heart rate - which gets more oxygen to the cells which gives them more energy to do things like run away) and other parts (like the digestive system) slow down their functioning. Maybe it is that slowing down combined with the anxiety ... which can make us tense up our muscles...that's responsible for the clenched stomach feeling.

no but I feel like my cheeks are on fire and like Im about to beat someones face in.. lol

It's your energy...churning negatively. working against itself.
