The medication can cause side effects from drowsiness, neausa, tiredness and more. Be sure to take the medication on a full stomach which can help lessen the side effects. After a seizure, you can be extremely tired because your body feels like it has gone through one big marathon. After a grand mal, I am stiff, I vomit and the longest I have ever slept after a seizure was 24 hours. .

Having a seiuzre can make you tired. Also, the medicines can make you tired, drowsy and feel sluggish. When I took topomax it made we sluggish and slow. Also after a seizure ( partial sz. ) I would feel winded and out of it.

During the post-ictal period (after a seizure), you may be more sleepy than usual, and the drugs used to control seizure disorders can make you very tired. Keeping the meds at the lowest possible dose, and still control the seizures, does help; but there is a reason we call Topamax, Dope-a-max.

The medication you take may make you tired. Epilepsy itself does not cause tiredness unless you are post-ictal ( i.e. after a fit ). You should go to have tests to find out whether you are short of iron or whether you have thyroid problem. Another cause is depression.
