I see yellow stripes when i look at light colored things..?!

Question: About one or two years ago I fell off my horse and i was knocked out.. Then last year I went on a cruise and I had pneumonia.. Every since then I have been really tired, dizzy, and I have seen yellow lines when I look at light colored things.. I also feel pressure at the back of my left eye.. I went to the doctor and the eye doctor.. They say this is normal for a teen to have. I am 12 and 5'10.. My eye sight has gotten a little worse.. Does any one else have this problem?? Is it normal?

I am really concerned about the yellow lines, so if you can help with that, that would be great! Thanks in advance

My advice to you would be to go to some other doctors...get some second opinions. That is by no means "normal". Feeling pressure at the back of your left eye may indicate some kind of swelling or something like that. Don't let anybody tell you that's 'normal'. Especially with it affecting your vision...sight is too precious. You state that your eye sight has gotten worse...is it just in that one eye or both eyes? If it's in both eyes...that may be 'normal'. A lot of young people, as they grow, their eye sight gets a little worse. I had that happen to me, and I had to get glasses (but use contacts and glasses now). It's usually something that is passed down from your parents.

Either way...get that checked out by someone. You may need a specialist...not just a 'doctor'. You may need what is called an MRI or CT scan on your head to see what is going on. An eye doctor can only technically tell you about your eye...and a regular doctor can't tell you if there is some kind of swelling behind your eye, because they don't have the equipment for that. You need a specialist that deals with trauma to the head. Don't just see a 'doctor', but go to a hospital with a specialist who can look at both the eye and do a scan on your head to make sure nothing in there is swelling.

wow ive never heard of that before well i already know thats not normal for a 12 yr old you should see a different doctor or eye doctor

that is not normal for a 12 year old i think u should go 2 various eye doctors and see there results and compare them and do the same thing with the doctors
