Grams/sizes of marijuana bags?!
Question: okay, this really confuses me. when i buy it, i usually ask like, 'i want twenty dollars worth'...or however much money i have...but i dont really know what a half eighth is or anything like that...can anyone provide me with thorough information that explains what all the different weights are and how much marijuana they're equivalent to?

alright. just to warn you, this is goin to be a pretty long answer. but here it is, a nickel bag which most dealers wont sell cuz its too small an amount. but a nickel is 5 bucks and usually weighs around 1-2 grams. a dime bag is $10 and weighs anywhere from 3-5. a dub sac or just a dub is $20 and usually weighs 6-9. a half ounce is 30 bucks and weighs 14 grams. an ounce is usually about 60-70 bucks and weighs 28 grams. then a qp ( quarter pound ) ranges widely in price from 140- 160 and weighs 4 ounces. a half pound is usually 220 - 250 bucks. and weighs 8 ounces. now mind you, these are all regular dealer prices, for $15 sacs and 3/4 ounces, ur gonna have to talk to your local dealer about the cost. i wish someone told me this **** when i started blazin.
also, with low grade bud, all u have to do is hold in ur hit so that when u blow it out, no smoke comes out (ghosting). it gets u high, nd u dont have to smoke that much. but high grade bud gives you a different high than low grade. cuz it has a different strain. a strain is like the dna of the bud. one type of bud gives u a down, sleepy high. nd the other kind gives u a alert, energetic high.

i have reformed my evil ways so I'm not sure the current ratios but i had a scale u can get them at most smoke shops they are metal and u clip it to the bag or u may like pinch the bag with 2 ends and the measurement is on the angle of it. anyway a finger scale is what i think they called it. i think u should get that and then measure what u get for what u pay for then u will no the amount instead of the price.

When you buy $10 worth, you usually get a gram. If it's shwag, you'll get more; if it's chronic, you'll get .5 gram. An eighth equals 3.5 grams (three and a half) and costs roughly $50-60 for good stuff. A quarter is 7 grams, and a half-ounce is 14.

Since quality and price varies from one place to another, there is no way to quote accurate prices. A gram of schwag (low THC, seeded and stemmy) should cost considerably less than a gram of high quality seedless bud, but will weigh the same. A gram of good bud will make a decent sized joint. A gram of schwag won't roll up into anything more than a pinner once its cleaned. And of course, the higher THC levels in good bud from quality genetics means you don't smoke as much to get the same effect.
As for weights, an ounce is 28 grams, half is 14 g, quarter =7 grams and an eighth is 3.5 grams. In my area, an ounce of really good bud can run anywhere from $350 to $500. The same oz. of schwag runs $80-$100. Figure the z of the good stuff will be about 90-95% usable, and the THC content anywhere from 15-20%. The same weight in schwag will end up being only 50-60% usable after seeds and stems are removed, and the THC content runs about 6-10%. So while schwag is apparently cheaper to buy, the better grade will go farther since you'll use less, and you'll end up paying about the same.
