x it. dig your finger nail into the bite making an x. works every time

Scratching till you bleed and then rub it with alcohol... works for me

use a natural spray to deter them

Get the itch spray or the little stick that you rub on it. Anything that has benedryl in it.

Mosqitoes hate vinnila so some vinnila candles popurri even extract on a plate will fend them off
and scratch an X and ammonia on the X

dab a little bit of toothpaste on the bites. the regular toothpaste and not the gel like stuff. it will draw the itch out . ive done it many times!! give it a try!!

rub any kind of fruit on it!!!

Use some pure essential lavender oil ...... just a couple of drops on a cotton ball and dabbed onto the bite will take out the ghastly itch and sting.

CHEERS

Stop eating bananas. They can smell it in your blood. It attracts them. Another thing is put on some "Skin-So-Soft" lotion sold by Avon. Everyone in my family swears by it. I just don't do yard work at twilight. Or i wear long sleeves.
Oh and if you've already been bitten, you could try some baking soda mixed with water. Make a paste and spread it on. I've also used bacon fat or salt pork for boils to draw the junk out of them. It really works. That's good ol' home remedies for ya!

according to the magazine that i have read months ago, the best way to stop itch from mosquito bites is to scratch it lightly for you not to break your skin. when that doesn't work, you can put a small amount of alcohol on the itchy part

Carole anne has the only correct answer.

AfterBite rubbing alchohal!
It may sting while you're putting it on, but believe me: IT WORKS!!!!

Anti-histamine (Phenergan, Zyrtec, Claratyne, telfast, Polaramine etc)
+
1% hydrocortisone cream if you swell up really bad

Well, make an X with your finger.

This is what I do but I don't want anyone to try this because its kinda dangerous, I light a candle and when there is wax, drop the wax on the affected part.

PLEASE DON'T TRY TO ATTEMPT THIS, ONLY PROFESSIONALS AND EXPERIENCED.

If your at home, boil hot water and put in a baby bottle (make sure that no one is still using it other wise it will create cancer) make sure you tighted the lid of the bottle otherwise you will get burnt. If the water is too hot, get a rug or somesort of material to place on the bottle (that way you dont hurt your fingers and so that you won't burn yourself.

To stop bites - use oil of citronella - or lavender of course is a deterrent. Must realise that time of day for bites is morn/evening and certain locations worse than others - so plan your protection.
As to stopping itch (as against stopping bites) use calamine lotion cold from refrig. - dab on lightly - distract yourslef for a few seconds to fight urge to scratch - if you don't scratch, at frst - you won't need to later. I also use honey mixed with avocado and sometimes a little lavender oil.
Avoid warm clothing or friction on skin - in severe cases take a very mild soporific to assist sleep (chamomille or even aspirin) and try to sleep thru the first (and worst) stage - if you scratch, you regret.
Lastly - as a beekeeper - may I add? A few bee stings will take your mind right off those mosquito bites :-)
