Would travel sickness pills help?!
Question: All my friends are planning a day out to a funfair. I enjoy all the rides but tend to feel sick after a few. I don't want to be a kill-joy and wondered if I took some travel sickness pills beforehand would it counteract the sickness? If not can anyone recommend anything that might?

I always take a gravol before heading on rides. sometimes an advil too since getting a headache on a ride sometimes makes me feel sick too. it always works for me. and I always make sure I had something to eat. I find I feel better if I have something on my stomache rather then nothing.
They will make you a little drowsy
I suffer the same problem and NOTHING helps. I end up carrying everybody's backpacks while they enjoy the rides. Ya know what? I still have a great time because it is fun to watch them get tossed around and whipped around rollercoaster tracks at death-defying speed.
Wear dark sunglasses. Close your eyes on the rides that tend to make you sick. You'll find that with eyes closed, you are less likely to have a nauseated reaction! This also works on bad blind dates!

there are plenty of travel sickness pills available at any pharmacies. the effect will depend on how strong the pill is as there is also mild in which you cannot feel any effect all. ask your nearest pharmacy and tell them what you will be riding. in that way, they can recommend you which to buy.

I doubt that these pills would work for high intensity movement associated with such rides. Besides, they'll make you sleepy, which is a real buzz kill. My advice is to spread out the time between the rides that you elect to, uh, enjoy. Just tell your friends that you enjoy their company and will ride a maximum of 4 rides (you pick the number), but that they will be of your choice and on your time schedule. While they're on rides that you decide are not for you, listen to your iPod, people watch, take photos, write in your journey, pinch somebody's butt. A fun fair can be much more than a dizzy nausea fest.
