Working with dead bodies?!

Question: I love to learn about the human body and am looking to start a career in that field. What are some fields I can get into that are not funeral based? meaning I am wanting something in the medical field. Thanks

well without a degree the funeral biz would be the way to go, with a degree you could go into forensics determineing the cause of deaths for autopsys, weighing internal body parts looking and studying their cause of death,,,

Or you could teach an anatomy class at medical college,, it kinda sppoked me out first time i saw it but every student is assigned a body for the semester and these are bodies donated to science, THE bodies are stored at this school in a large tound tall vat of formalgahyde . You co up on the catwalk and pick out which cadaviar you want for the semester and they pluck them out, and you get the body for th semester. you diesect it weighing every body part liver heart brains etc, as the casdaviar lays out on the slab. when class is over for the day you slide them back to the cooler..

They have one for vets as well for animals and its kind off freaky to. I walked in on a live surgury , the animal was alive but had it opened,,,just very differnt thing and it takes a special person to do this. It is not for the faint hearted.

The funeral industry would be a lot easier than going through medical school. You see a lot more gory or odd things than you would in a medical school like accident victims ,gunshot victims, and its a lot easier to slitem and drainem in the big porceleion bowl. you put a contct type lens with a hook on it to keep the lids closed. the mouth is gauze packed and now glued... its a very differnt thing and and odd place to hold a poker game on friday nights at midnight,,,

just watch some CSI

morgue worker transports deceased to morgue

Mortuary assistant - preparing the deceased for viewings, helping with post mortem examinations.

Pathology.

It takes many many years to train for, but apparently the money works out to be quite good.

what about a surgeon

The job that sounds most like what you are looking for is a Morgue. They can either be an independent facility or in hospitals. That's where the autopsies are performed. I would take a visit down to one and explain that you are looking into the field. If you are lucky, you can talk your way into an autopsy. This would be the biggest test since the smell is unlike anything you have ever smelled. It is often the deciding factor for the field.

i dont get your question sorry but sounds to me like you need to watch CSI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The profit mohammed once told of a youthful one with and interest in such activities as you, and a keen interest in the human body, especially the deceased, will be shot at dawn for necrophilia.

You best bet would be to talk to a school counselor about this. They will be able to do some research for you and find out all of the different opportunities that are available to you. They will also help you decide what would be most interesting and fit your needs most.
