Everytime I have a nap I feel nauseous, what can I do?!

Question: Whether I eat or not eat before I sleep, my stomach doesn't feel nice after waking from my nap, and I start feeling nauseous.

It sometimes goes away after I eat something, but the last time I ate after my nap, I had nausea and vomiting for two days. I don't want to experience it again not only because it feels horrible, but because I have a lot of school work and I need to help my family with the house work and shopping for the winter.

What are some things I can do to prevent or ease nausea without having to miss my nap?

Should I change my eating habits, or my diet, or exercise, take special medicine, or anything?

Any help is appreciated . . .

Shorter naps. the older you get the less you are in need of them and your body is telling you that you sleep to much or not well enough. I started to do the same thing when I was a teen. I started to take shorter naps and after a while I stopped but ever so often I take one. You also could be coming down with something so take it easy and if things get worse then go see your doctor before you really get sick and you cant help out your family.

This is a common, early sign of pregnancy. I would take a pregnancy test and see a gynocologist immediately.

It could be stress related. Be sure to take a little time out of each day just for you. You sound like a very nice caring person... take good care of yourself so that you will be able to care for all the loved ones in your life. You could try eating several small meals a day...5 or 6 rather than 3 larger ones. Also eat the biggest meal in the A.M. and end with the lightest meal. Also try elevating the head of you bed ( a brick or wooden block under the legs of the bed will work)..I get nauseous if I lay completely flat without a pillow..don't know why..
