I won't lie- it can be scary- especially if you're already freaked out. Speaking from experience, I was really scared (I even passed out at the doctor's office while trying them on the first time). But, I've been successfully wearing them now for over 10 years. They are so much better than wearing glasses.

Just try to calm down. That will make your experience that much more hectic.

GOOD LUCK! :-)

i hardly notice mine, as long as you take care of them they shouldn't bug you

asked your eye doctor, they can recommend a brand that best fit your eyes...also, they have info bout contacts...

they're not scary at all! i've been wearing them since i was twelve. they don't hurt and they're not hard to put in. it just may take a couple of tries to put them in the first time.

they're SO much better than glasses. they don't fog. they don't hide your eyes. they don't scratch easily. they don't leave feilds of vision blurry if you're not staring straight ahead. they don't fall off unless you rub your eyes a lot. they dont get bent or broken easily.

your not gonna die! They give you a solution to help the dryness and iratation. They were made to fit your eyes they shouldnt hurt, u shouldnt be able to feel them!

take a xanax..if thats not available...then just think of how much better u will see with them and how u wont have to wear glasses any more

There is nothing to be scared of. I hated putting them in my eyes. Just keep them clean.

its a joke my friends do it ALL the time! calm down take a deep breath

All contacts do not hurt your eyes...Talk to your doctor to get the best one for your pupils. Also make sure you get the ones that you can change daily so that it will cause less eye irritation

close your eyes and take deep breath .

it will be o.k its just a matter of getting used to it

If you are getting soft contacts then you have nothing to worry about!

Mine are very comfortable, so comfortable in fact, that I completely forget about them and leave them weeks at a time (bad)

Don't worry, if they are uncomfortable then your doctor can work with you until you find the ones that fit you the best. Give your eyes a little time, they will adjust and you won't even know they are there!

basically contacts are a trial and error. some people can wear them and have no problems at all. some cant. im one of them. i was able to get them in but my vision wasnt right so im back to glasses. stay calm and remember practice makes perfect. many many people wear them so give it a try. the worst that can happen is yuo will wear glasses!! youll be fine!!!

Why are you getting contacts? If your "knee jerk" reaction is fear then don't.

There is nothing to be scared of. First of all, you put the contact in your eye, it may burn for a few minutes, but that is because your eye isn't used to having a foreign object in it. Kind of like having an eyelash fall in your eye, it's a little uncomfortable, but not untolerable. You'll be fine... :)

Relax. In the beginning they may hurt a little bit, but at first start wearing them a little bit, then keep on put them in longer in every day. Just make sure not to sleep in them and it will be fine. After a day you will get used to them and won't even feel them. I was scared until I felt amazing because I didn't have to wear glasses anymore.

Don't worry everything will be fine my sister had contacts for years and she said they don't hurt at all they may hurt a little in the beggining but you'll get used to them the more you wear them good luck!

I've been wearing contacts for 20yrs! I wore the daily extended wear kind. You take them out daily and they last a year. The new disposable ones are awesome! You wear them for 2 weeks and then toss and get a new pair. Try the O2 Optix kind. They're breathable, so your eyes don't get dry and irritated. Remember, it's not good to sleep in them, even though supposedly disposables you can, I don't.
Don't worry! You'll do fine!

i have contacts
i was sorta nervous to cuz i didn't know what to expect and stuff
well when u first try them there for me and prob a lot of people it was very difficult it took me awhile
but when u get them in ur like yes!
taking them out u have to slide ur finger across and pick them off with ur fingers it sounds weird but its actually really easy when u do it enough times ..same with putting them on
they will give u a sheet with directions and things to do and to not do and stuff
there not really irritating..ur eyes may get bit irritated when u first put them on and off in the office becuz u keep rubbing ur eyes and stuff..i had that but then its fine and also if they have like an eyelash or hairs or specks on them ..make sure there like super clean before you put them on which is commons sense
make sure the contact is the right way..they will show you how to do like eveything
also
you want to make sure that the comfort is good..ur eye doctor should ask you this when u see him next to see how they are working out
well hope all goes well
don't be scared .trust me its not bad

well, u've probably been to the opt. by now, and have experienced wearing contact lens!!! they feel weird at first when you put them in, but arterwards ( for me, its about 5mins) ur eyes get used to it!!!!
i know my answers a bit late sorry!!!!
when you take it out, leave it on a table over nite instead of putting it in the bin, and then it turns hard!!!!
at first, its a bit difficult to put them in and take them out, and my eyes go red, but it doesnt hurt!!
be careful if you have long nails though, and wash ur hands b4 putting them in!
good luck!!!
