Usually (but not always) a Eustachian tube, which drains moisture from your ear to the back of your throat , may have closed due to swelling or congestion.
This causes a "plugged up" ear, much like swimmers ear.
Taking decongestants will help to aid in the cold symptoms and as the tube reopens the ear will "Pop" and your hearing will return. As it feels better try pinching your nostrils and blowing Gently to see if your ear will pop.
Be aware that an ear infection can have the same symptoms so watch for drainage, pain or if it lasts another week, have it checked. You then would need antibiotics.
Good luck

Yawn

I would see a Doctor you maybe have fluids in your ear canal.

Yeah Yawn or get ear drops to put in your ear....also if you are taking medication for sinues that should help

Stop sniffing.

Try a decongestant like mucinex.

Hot steam from a shower or a warm washcloth may help relieve some of the tension.

It's the flu that drags on & on, especially if you don't take care of it. Stay extra warm, eat right, etc. It usually lasts 2-3 weeks.
