Chicken soup has been used for treating common colds at least since the 12th century. It may really help. The heat, steam, fluid, and salt may help you fight the infection.

Im sick at the moment and soup does work for me, and it doesnt have to be chicken, it can be anything, just as long as its soup!

vitamin C is also really good for a common cold, so eat some strawberries or oranges, or just get some vitamin C tablets,

get lots of rest and drink lots of fluids, but nothing with too much dairy, my nana used to always tell me it milk will do nothing but give you a snotty nose haha

Take care!!!

as long as the soup is hot it will make you feel better. I had a cold a few weeks ago and i love tomato soup. my mom made me some...feel better!

Hot soup is both comforting and good for you. If nothing else, it will help keep you hydrated and steamy soup will probably ease your head congestion a bit. Some hot tomato soup would probably hit the spot if your throat isn't sore.

Hope you feel better soon!

that is a good idea.
and if you have a cold, add a lot of peper. it is good when you have a cold.
