#2 Doctors can do a "rapid strep test" while you are in the office. If you have a bad sore throat and feel overall crappy (I am not sure exactly what the symptoms are but you can get more info on medline or NIH or revolution health or other health websites by reputable organizations), it is worth getting this test done because you do not want to let strep go untreated. My ex-husband found this out the hard way and literally almost died (he was an adult and they called his parents after airlifting him to a major hospital, and told them they had better get there because they did not expect him to make it).
#3 Not sure what the question is. What would I prefer to wear (anything nice and soft...nothing scratchy)? What I like better on others (doesn't really matter).
#4 There isn't a simple answer to this...it is a really personal choice. I think the person has to be mature enough to take responsibility for their sexual health (able to talk to their partner about birth control/STD prevention, using reliable birth control all the time, getting annual gynecological exams, etc.) There is the emotional aspect too...sex and love are not the same thing but it is easy to mix the two up and I think if this confusions happens when we are really young, it makes it harder to establish healthy relationships throughout life.
I don't want to be hypocritical though...I was 14 and never regretted it (I'm 31 now). What I do regret is that I was not always very responsible and could have caught any number of things.
