Does short-term memory loss from marijuana come back?!

Question: I've been smoking for about 4 years and have stopped for about a month and still feel the effects of short term memory loss. Does this heal? And if so how long does it take?

Studies have shown that there is no permanent long term OR short term memory damage. Refrain from smoking for 3-7 days, and the fog clears.

hahaha i dont know, but ive been clean since april 07 and still no improvement :(

I'm sorry what was the question again?

yes, it will come back - if you had a decent short-term memory to begin with (not everyone does). Give it a little time and the neurons will start firing correctly again.

No, it doesn't heal. You are killing you freakin' brain cells. Those don't come back.

Not smoking will keep it from getting worse though.

well......
let me just tell u,
me and my man will be talkin about something and i will forget all about what i was just saying. a few days later i'll call him and be like remember when we were talking about..........
well this is what i was gonna say.
so YES!!!
it does come back

don't smoke it again. and i was told once u do something to kill your brain cells theres no getting those dead ones back. sorry.

haha to ms dank this is true for me to!

No, I used to smoke from the time I was 12 until a few years ago (I'm 28 1/2 now). I suffer from short-term memory loss now and it doesn't seem like it's going away any time soon.

Think of your memory as memory in your computer. If you delete the information it is gone for ever. In a computer you can go back into the internet and get the info back, but unfortunately for people we can't currently go back in time.

Oh, and smoking marijuana doesn't cause short-term memory loss. During a high you just don't know what is going on and thus you can't remember what happened if you didn't know what was going on.
