I've been feeling sick lately. Think you know what it is?!

Question: Hey everyone, I have been feeling sick lately and I don't know why. I am 19 years old, male, 6 foot, 170 pounds. I think I'm fairly healthy. I am not overweight and fairly built.

Anyway, i've experienced this weird thing a few times where I feel really sick after I eat. It used to happen few and far between. I started making sure I chew my food well, eating slowly and it still seemed to happen every so often. For the last week or so though it's been happening every night. It seems to happen like a half hour after I eat (even if it's not a full meal. When it happened tonight I ate a brownie...). My stomach seems to get bloated as well, and the weirdest part is when it goes away or starts to I feel sick, but instead because it feels like I havn't eaten for awhile. You know that feeling where you havn't eaten and your stomach feels empty?

Answers are appreciated. If it keeps up i'll see a doctor, so please no 20 answers of go see a doctor. I'd rather not waste their or my time.

First of all, I would really call a doctor right away to make an appointment!!! Ok, with that said I think their are a few possibilities about what is wrong. First, are you eating a really high fat diet? Diets high in fat or grease can really do a number on a person, and as we age we slowly find our ability to digest this fat becomes less and less. It will make you feel ill, and also give you diarrhea. But what you are describing also sounds like you may have an ulcer, a hiatal hernia, or possibly GERD/Acid Reflux. Do you notice any heartburn feelings with this sick feeling? More importantly, if you are feeling ill and you are getting bloating like you describe, you could possibly have a blockage in your intestines or colon. I would definitely call a doctor to schedule an appointment.
Don't be afraid, it is better to go to the doctor regularly to have your body checked than to die because you let it go too long.
Try to take some antacids until you get to the doctor, like tums. Also, start drinking lot's of clear water and stay away from fatty foods. Eat more lean protein and fruits and vegetables.
Hope some of this helps!
