Why does my fingers fall asleep as I hold on to a PS2 controller?!

Question: when I play a video game?

It has never bothered me when I was a teen(didn't play again till I was and am 23).

So why has it recently just started to make my fingers fall asleep?

My feet always fall asleep when I cross my leg and people tell me it's because lack of blood flow. Maybe your fingers are bigger now, and the way that you are holding it is cutting off the blood flow?

It could be because you haven't played in a while and you're not used to keeping your hand in that tensed up position for long periods of time. Also, you may have some underlying carpal tunnel syndrome that you aren't aware of. Numbness in the fingers is a symptom of that.

Make sure you periodically massage and stretch your hands when you're gaming. It's hell to get old, aint it? lol!

they're sleepy

The older you get, blood circulation slows. Have you gained weight since you were a teen? You could check to make sure you do not have carpal tunnel.
