I need a solution please help?!


Question: Please read i know it long.My sleeping is always getting messed up anymore i stay up all night then all day in school then come home and sleep and my parents would like wake me up like in a hr or so but i still end up staying up all night i can like never sleep no matter how tired i am i mean yes i do get a few hrs of sleep here and there like 2-3 hrs but thats no where near as much as i need idk what is wrong with me or what to do my parents just think its cuz im used to it but if im getting like 1hr of sleep sometimes less when i come home from school i should be tired by night right? but im not and its hard to try to stay fully awake after school cuz im so drained from being up all night and then school so i need atleast a lil nap whats wrong with me any ideas on what to do?

you probbably are an insomniac like me, I know exactly how you feel!!! you have a sleeping disorder,....... to know more about it go to www.wikipedia.com then type in insomnia or sleeping disorder, and see which one apply's to you. THEN go to the doctor and he'll give you medication. :)

I think you need to see a doctor. I don't know how old you are, but tell your parents you need to be sleeping (any teenager does, no matter what you may think). And maybe you can be put on something that will help to relax you at night and make it easier to sleep. You need to be getting more than an hour's sleep a day!

Um... I had the same problem. I would be tired at random hours of the day a take a little nap then not be able to sleep at night. I started getting super fustrated too. But try to keep an eye on what you are eating, drinking, do you smoke, or are you really active before bed? All of these are things you need to consider. Sounds all lame Dr.ish but trust me... And as hard as it is.... Do not go to sleep during the day at all.... until you figure out you night time issue. Goog Luck!

Before I would always have trouble sleeping because I was scared something would happen to me like someone would break into my house and kidnap me. I know it sounds a little weird but thats how i felt. But what I would do and still do if make a fuss about my blankets and have to have them a certain way before I could sleep. I guess its kinda ocd but not really. But the thing is I would get my heart rate up so much by messing with my blankets for a long time that it was then hard to sleep. My advice to you is to make your self NOT sleep when you get home from school and to wait until its your "bed time", and if your do anything that I do then try to do some calming things to get your heart rate to a slow but normal pace so your not wired! o and sorry for the long advice and me telling you about my story but it helped be get my point across! hope it helps!

Wow...have you got a messed up sleep rhythm.
You need to ask your parents to let you go to the Doctor and have him check you out first. Then he will (or should) get you into some kind of sleep training program. There are a lot available because of apnea. You may even have this problem, but you seem too young for that.
Are you playing video games late at night??? Bad! Overstimulating!
Get professional help now, and don't ruin your health and schoolwork, please. Print out what you just wrote to give to the MD.
