Actually it's very easy to lose brain cells. We barely use a small percentage of them, so most aren't that important.
So, I don't know for sure, but it's very possible that you could lose brain cells when you sneeze.
I don't think you loose brain cells when you sneeze. Then we wouldn't have any left. look at the average amount of times a person sneezes.

This is absolutely stupid and there is no scientific basis to support this. Sneezing is a natural reflex phenomenon which rather clears the nasophaynx. It will affect you adversely if you hold it and you may develope stuffy nose.
