I ate supper and suddenly don't feel good, what could be wrong?!

Question: I had garlic broccoli and lo mein for dinner tonight, and started feeling horrible a few minutes after I started eating. I suddenly got cold. It's a deep cold, like it's inside my bones, different than any kind I've ever felt. I'm under two comforters and an electric blanket and I can't get warm. I feel nauseous and like I'm going to throw up. A headache hit me at near migraine levels. I'm also achy. I don't think it was the food, but it is a possibility. The weather had been fluctuating lately, going from 11 degrees one day to 40 the next. Do you know what could be wrong? What over the counter medicine can I take to help?

The flu bug is out there now and it comes on sudden like you're describing...and you have some of the symptoms. You may feel cold on the inside and hot on the outside, hot, then cold. you may have a fever..if you do try to check it to see how high it is.
Something as high as 101 should not alarm you....it's your body fighting for you.. Be sure to feed it...don't stop eating....start with some lightly buttered toast with water....and water...that's another thing....drink as much as you can...maybe some green tea if you have it.....it's very settling and is loaded with anti oxidants. A good over the counter cold and flu med is enough....you body will fight for you, just keep it fed....if you throw up....wait a while and try it again....you headache is coming from your chills.....the blood to your brain tries to keep warm and may be warmer then the rest of your body and that creates pressure that you feel as a headache.
Stay warm Broken Doll.....it will pass....rest and sleep will help.

Could be the stomach flu. Call you doctor, he'll know. Hope you feel better. ;)

Hm maybe food poisoning? Go see your doc! Throwing up may make you feel better.

something in the food your allergic to,wheat sauce so many thing,or you could have a bug

Sounds like you have a fever. Take your temperature if you have a thermometer. If you do have a fever, take 500-1000mg of acetaminophen or no more than 800mg of Ibuprofen and I bet you'll feel a little better in a couple of hours. These are fever reducing medicines.

Don't take both, never take both at the same time.

If you've been advised to avoid Tylenol for any reason, take the Ibuprofen. If Ibuprofen upsets your stomach, take the acetaminophen.

You really should see a doctor as soon as possible. Let them send you a bill later, your health is more important than any amount of money.

You might be severly allergic to the food you ate.
