What is this gross thing coming out of my tonsils?!
Question: Sometimes, I notice that I have bad breath and a few minutes after, this hard, white or yellow thing, pops out of my tonsils? What is it? Do I have tonsilitis?

No it's called a tonsil stone, they aren't anything to worry about and they are naturally occurring.

yucky, sorry! You have an infection. If you can swallow, and don;t have pain, than it will go away eventually. But don't mess with it!! If you do have pain, it could be tonsillitis. Either way, you should probably do to the DR!!! Good luck!
tonsil stones...i kept getting them until I had my tonsils removed...they're pretty gross. They'll usually fall off in a couple of days...they also smell really bad too. i would visit the doctor to make sure it's not a serious infection
They are called tonsil stones or tonsiliths. They are formed from food particles, bacteria and mucus which get caught in your tonsils. I would get them also before my tonsils were extracted. What you can do to prevent them is gargle with warm salt water or mouth wash in the mornings and evenings.
Oh, and they can lead to infections (sore throat, tonsilitis) because they are so inundated with bacteria.
