I'm ALWAYS getting sick,What do i do to be healthier?!

Question: I eat pretty healthy, organic when I can, take lots of vitamin shoppe supplements, currently do not work, sleep alot, and walk around quite a bit, I'm 26 6'0 and 170 pounds healthy, yet I always get sick, and get it bad, I have about 5 colds a year, for the last 2-3 years, had a bad bout of bronchitis, developed asthma problems because of all my infections.

The only things I had in the past were just lots of stress, I was sexually promiscuous, had chlamydia which is now gone, but I'm still sexually active, though safe, and that's about it.

other than that I'm healthy, yet my body feels like it's 60.

Am i doing something wrong?

I do tend to go out ALOT though, and I'm always running around at a mall at least 2-3 times a week, there are millions where I'm from, and I guess since I'm single, I hook up with people, not all the time, but I am sexually active, so maybe that's all exposing me to lots of germs, who knows.

My blood work comes out fine yet I get sick ALOT. HELP!

I used to get sick alot. It was like I attracted it. And I think that I did. First off, I had alot of stressful relatinoships with people that were wearing me down. So I kicked them out of my life (a big stress, but after that... it is over for good). Also I kept thinking that I was sick (you usually met your expectations). Also I started to exercise more and eat healthier. Another thing that I did was to buy a bottle of Clorex, spray bleach. I started to bleach my doorknobs, food counters, facets, tables, light swithces and such. Also, if you believe in Karma, make sure that your intentions are good and taht you dont' act out of anger (I was angry about the peopel that undermined me and my kids... but felt trapped to them because they were family.) And and stress compriomises your immune system

derink a lot of orange ji\uice and friuts

You may want to get a physical, and get HIV screening.

eat healthy things and eat a lot of vegtables

hmmmm... try jogging a few times a day,
or chew orbit and xylitol gum- it soothes the throat, gets rid of bad breath, lowers stress and helps teeth.

good luck!!

A good supplement to boost your immune system is Vitamin C. If you arent taking that, eat extra oranges or orange juice. Other than that, try to be germ-concious around other people.

There's a new thing where you leave olive oil in your mouth 20 mins a day, I hear it works great. Search it on yahoo answers for a better explanation.

Maybe use hand sanitizer a be sure to get the shots so you won't get sick

Hmm, I am no expert. But I am sure speaking to your doctor about an issue like this. Maybe you have some sort of deficiency? As certain deficiency's can effect the absorption of vitamins into your body.

Please discuss your concerns with your doctor. They can always refer you to a specialist if needed. Then, you can look for second opinions as well.

eat healthy try mypyramid.gov and go to my plan and it will have a pplan for your health

ok my science teacher told me that its good to be dirty so go to the park go for a jog ( not in the mall) outside! but also after u go to the bathroom wash your hands fr 12 sec. with soap and rub good! be clean but like once or twice a week get out for a jog or to the park its healthy that way!

The colds and infections can be best prevented by washing and sanitizing your hands. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth, after you have touched something else. I would not have believed this prior to doing it. I used to stay ill the same way but since I have started a new job 4yrs ago, in the food industry and have to wash my hands 100 times a day or more, plus sanitize them I have improved 100% Hope it helps.

I use to get sick a lot. I now take emergen-c daily. It's a vitamin supplement you mix with water and drink. You can pick it up at any vitamin store or grocery store.

They even have one called imune defence

I would suggest yoga and if you are female, giving me your number! Just kidding. Honestly, it sounds like you need to mentally unwind. Take a peaceful trip somewhere or study up on some stress relieving therapy.

Good Luck :)

Well firstly, perhaps be referred to a specialist, because sometimes, as helpful and caring as doctors can be, they can misdiagnose and miss something more sinister.

Take Echinacea tables that you can pick up from your local holistic store, which are quite inexpensive. These tables have been recommended to all ages, to help promote a healthy immune system.

Look at this as another option;

- You avoid 'healthy' bacteria that lives on - well everything, by over using antibacterial chemicals for cleaning your home, dishes and general habit. By avoiding bacteria like these, can actually weaken your immune system as every human being needs to be exposed to a certain amount of bacteria so that our bodies can develop immunity or tolerance of the mutated bacteria that can cause things such as common colds.

- or your just a hypercondriac. (no offense)

Take care!

did you ever get testet for diabeties cause all the things that you explained my husbund got and they gave him meds but those meds turned out it mad him get diabeties and some medication you take and not checked for bloodsugar at least once a week can cause diabeties and you should go and have a test done and see what your blood sugar is, 70 to 140 is normal, you can also be low just go and sheck to be on the safe side if you dont then i dont know what it could be, i wish you lots of luck and hope you feel better soon, have a nice day

Wash your hands more or use purell hand sanitizer...malls are germ factories along with shopping carts... :)

Sounds like you need a bit of immune system boosting.

Taking 1 or 2 gm of vitamin C every day helps.

6 high strength odourless 3,000 mg garlic oil capsules a day helps. Garlic is very good for people with sinus problems and it is both an antibacterial agent and an antimicrobial agent.

DRINK TEA. There are various teas you can drink such as: eucalyptus, thyme which helps with cold and the respiratory system. It alos helps with soothing throats. Add honey to. Drink at least one in the morning after or before breakfast, one at noon after eating and one at night before going to sleep.
Also take in some VIT C: orange juice, VICKs throat drops also (eucalyptus also for respiratory system as well).
You could also mix milk with turmeric powder and honey (warm that is ) and it helps sooth throat problems I have tried it personnally and it worked. Not too much turmeric, just a tad bit like half a tea spoon, even a little less.

DRINK A LOT!!! ESPECIALLY JUICES AND WATER!!!! H2O is VERY IMPORTANT WHEN YOU'RE SICK. Also stop going out AS OFTEN AS YOU DO.

Also you seem to be STRESSING ALOT OVER DIFFERENT ISSUES: CALM DOWN!!!! This will not help. Lessen your stress level and get REST!!!!

Sleep!!! Oh and consume pure honey, one spoon everyday that will also help. Remember: dalt also helps the throat: so drink anything salty or eat anything salty....

Hope this helped~!!!!

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!!!!
(NO STRESS, REST, WATER, EUCALYPTUS, THYME, VIT C, ETC.....)
