Does Soy Milk contain a lot of calcium?!


Question: I'm lactos and I can't drink real milk. So I buy soy milk. I don't want to get those gum dieases from not enought calcium. So, if I drink a lot of soy milk, would it help prevent bone flaking, gum dieases, and other things?

I don't know what that other girl is talking about, soy milk has just as much calcium as regular milk and is actually a lot better for you than cow's milk - but if you want to, you can take some calcium chews too.

Soy milk has exactly the same amount of calcium in it as regular milk, plus more fiber! It's actually a lot healther for you than cows milk, especially if you buy organic. It also costs about the same and it's delicious! I love it!

naturally it doesn't but most companies add just as much calcium into it as milk.

You can get lactose free milk from major supermarkets.

Soy milk is normally fortified with calcium so that 250 ml contains 300 mg of calcium which is about the same as in normal milk. You can check the information on the container.
