I have Panic attacks! Tell me some ways i can get through them?!

Question: I used to get them so bad I would have to leave my purchases in the store and go home. It got to where I would not leave the house.

I did not go on medicine or try some guru silly stuff, I started praying.

I prayed about what I was worried about and left it there for God to take care of. Then I thanked him and went about my day. Pretty soon the attacks stopped altogether. I haven't had one in years. And my relationship with God is better than ever and my life is great. So it was a win win win situation.

Lay off the caffeine and sugar first of all. then learn to relax and not get overwhelmed, then if it's happening try to breathe in through your nose slowly and deeply then exhale through your mouth.

I have panic/anxiety attacks as well, my doctor percribed me lorazepam and you would not believe the relief i got from that. it helps me relax.

The best way to get through a panick attack is to slowly breathe in through the nose and out through your mouth to put your breathing routine back on track. Another way is to us a plastic bag to use to breathe in and out with.

try some relaxation techniques such as guided imagery and or breathing slow in through your nose and out through your mouth.

you need to relax and stop stressing out and worrying, i have them to.

basically when you have them sit pull your knees to your chest in a big room so you're not crowded, and you need space to breathe. breathe in deeply till you're calm. and if somehting getting to you just think about it and don't fight with yourself over it or anything, and take things slowly.

Sit down and look into someones eyes and talk about something like a grocery list or something that your doing tomorrow, walk out side sit down take deep breaths , take one of your pills asap

I have dealt with Panic attacks most of my life. I am Also on Lorazepam for the Panic Attacks and they do help. May want to see your Doctor and have him prescribe some tranquilizers for you. If you are having a Panic Attack, then as already mentioned, Inhale deeply through your nose, then exhale slowly out through your mouth. Also would help if you have someone with you to give you comfort such as rubbing your back and telling you everything is going to be alright. Everything Will be alright as it will pass, but they are no fun when they are happening. Also read some info on panic attacks and why they occur.
