Does anybody have any theories on the beer shits?!

Question: Whats up with this. How come in the morning after a hard night of drinking, or even a moderate night, I always have some business to attend to.
Does alcohol affect something in the intestinese that shuts down the absorbtion of food and what not?

Being a microbiologist, I've figured that because alcohol contains a great deal of sugar and since bacteria love sugar and your GI tract is full of bacteria they go crazy. I think they overmultiply causing a bacteria flora imbalance and giving you "the runs" :-) This is how diarrhea/creamy pooing usually occur! Now if that wasn't just too much info, I don't know what was, lol.

wine is better no hangover only blackout if too much, but don't drive

lol

Your body desires less alcohol and more fiber. Duh.

The beer-shlits as its affectionately called. Don't know why.

That's too funny! I know what you mean. Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for you. Thanks for the laugh, though.

Great question. Maybe ask your docter the next time you're in for a physical. :)

Sounds like a great source for another government grant.

Only young beer (still fermenting) or bad beer induces motions.

stop drinking "ButtWiper" beer.

i read (while in the middle of a hangover) that alcohol in high volumes impairs your mucus membranes from taking in water.

Simply put, alcohol is a poison, when used to excess.( Something we never seem to think about, yes me too.) the body will rid itself of the poison in the fastest way possible, vomiting, or diarrhoea,or both. If you ate something that was spoiled the same thing would happen. Don't let youself get dehydrated. Hope this helps Johnt
