Waking up in the morning?!

Question: sometimes when i try to wake up early in the morning its extremely hard for me to do so. & i try to sleep earlier at night but it's a habit for me to sleep at around 11 or 12. it doesnt matter how many times my alarm clock goes off, i still can't wake up which causes me problems because i can't find enough time to shower & eat breakfast.
does anyone know what i can do to wake up early?

I have this same problem. I was doing really well at getting up at 5:30 like I need to before we got out for Christmas break...but now it's like, noooo I can't move let alone get out of bed.

So, for the past few days I accidently fall back asleep and when my mom gets me up I'm all like...crap. I did it again.

SOOO here's what I did before (and should probably start doing tomorrow).

Force yourself to get up. You just need to go, "Rachel (or w/e your name happens to be), you have to get up. Mommy's not going to be around forever in case you oversleep. College is only two and a half years away, who's getting you up then?" So, I make myself get up, then I go to the kitchen and make a cup of tea. I take the tea into the bathroom while I take a 10 minute shower, and by the time I'm done, the tea's ready to drink. So, now I've got one of my liquids done, and my shower is done. Then, I get dressed, put on my jewelry, la dee la dee da, go down and get a glass of water (which wakes you up beyond belief, trust me), so there's liquid #2 of 8. I eat breakfast, and then carry on with my day.

I haven't tried this yet, but I'm thinking, maybe a nap would serve me a purpose right after school. That way I won't be so tired all day (as you can see from my current question, I'm always tired). So maybe I'll try it tomorrow and let you see how it goes. They take naps in France, apparently your brain retains information best when you take a nap after learning. But don't sleep for more than 30 minutes!!!! You won't get to sleep at night.

Hope this helps, and maybe you could help me on my question!

Rachel

I find I have the same problem, I've heard the best noise to set your alarm on is static and keeping the alarm far away from your bed ensures you don't turn it off while still asleep

talk to your doctor. he can prescribe something. maybe you're sleeping, but you're not resting well enough so when morning comes around, you just feel too tired to get up.

I have the same problem. It's so difficult. I keep turning off the alarm, and I'm late for everything!

What I've found effective is this : Sleep with a bottle of water next to your bed. In the morning, when you hit the alarm, sit up and chug down the whole bottle. It helps quite a bit to my surprise.

I also have the same problem. I have found that going to sleep earlier really helps alot. You should just really keep trying to make yourself go to bed earlier. Its a proven fact that the earlier you go to bed, the earlier you will wake up. You have to realize to that you have a responsibility to be somewhere at a certain time. Train yourself to wake up at the same time everyday no matter what day it is. Your body will eventually fall into this pattern and will get tired at the same time every night and will wake up the same time every morning. I have also found that if I go ahead and get up the first time that the alarm clock goes off, I feel a lot better then I do if I continue to press the snooze button once I do get up.
