What are the dangers of blow off ones self with compressed air?!

Question: If you mean like blowing sawdust or just plain old dirt off with compressed air there is no danger unless you get too close. If you get too close with high pressure (35psi or higher) you could cause an embolism. Embolisms are air bubbles under the skin that could potentially cause blood vessels to burst or worse. An air bubble could travel to the heart causing arrhythmia or seizure of the cardiac muscles. Airborne pathogens (not passages) are bacteria or viruses that travel in the air usually within the water vapor within the column of compressed air. As long as the compressor is maintained properly (drain accumulator keep motor oiled) there shouldn't be any danger of airborne pathogens. I hope this has been helpful. Thanks for the 2 points!

The dirt or whatever on your skin gets blown into the skin, then you have an infection. Washing with soap and water is the only safe way to get clean.
